Several small groups of students study, eat and socialize in a common lounge area of a student residence.

Whichever space you choose, you can expect these standard features:

Arthur V. Mauro Residence

Centrally located at the junction of Dafoe Road and Maclean Crescent, the Arthur V. Mauro Student Residence has room for 316 students in 155 suites on a total of six floors.

Make yourself at home in a comfortable suite that includes two or three bedrooms, a kitchenette, private washroom with shower and air conditioning.

Meal plans

A Meal Membership Plan is optional and is not included in the residence fees. You can prepare your own meals in your kitchenette or the community kitchen and a grocery run sponsored by the Residence Life Office is made twice a month to a local supermarket. You can have the option of affordable and nutritious meals from breakfast to dinner at the Fresh Food Company or any other dining service location on campus. A variety of optional meal plans are available to suit the needs of every student.

Mary Speechly Hall is a great place to dive right into university life. Here you’ll find the right combination of work and good times in a very active living space.

Mary Speechly Hall is a great place to dive right into university life. This traditional dorm-style housing is located on Maclean Crescent right beside the Fresh Food Company. 

With 30–40 students on each floor, Mary Speechly Hall has a strong sense of community. Rooms are clustered in pods with a comfortable lounge on each floor.

Pembina Hall Residence

Built in 2011, Pembina Hall is our newest residence. We house 360 students in this contemporary, high-rise building situated above the Fresh Food Company.

All 360 units in the Pembina Hall Residence are single rooms with an exterior glass wall providing plenty of natural light and spectacular views of the campus to the north and the Red River to the south. Each room is complete with its own private washroom and shower. Each of the ten residence floors has a lounge with a microwave, small bar fridge, soft seating, and TV.  Laundry facilities are located on the second floor.

University College Residence

A traditional dorm-style residence with 236 single rooms and 10 double rooms is located on the east side of campus, close to many Arts and Science buildings and classrooms. University College is a quiet place to live with the convenience of tunnel access to get to your classes on those colder winter days.

With 40 people per floor, there is a strong community and a small town feel in University College Residence.

The University College meal plan is a flexible plan, which works like a debit card, to purchase meals at the Dayside Café in University College, the Fresh Food Company or any dining location across campus.
